What is a CCRC?
A Continuing Care Retirement Community offers accommodations at various levels of need. Westminster Towers Retirement Community offers Independent Living Apartments, Assisted Living, Short-Term Rehabilitation Services, as well as Skilled Nursing Care. One of the many advantages of living in a CCRC is residents receive priority admission and easy transition to levels of care as appropriate. Another advantage for our residents, Westminster Towers is all under one roof!
What is the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission?
The Continuing Care Accreditation Commission, founded in 1985, is an accrediting body for Continuing Care Retirement Communities. Widely regarded as the mark of quality and distinction, several areas must meet or exceed CCAC's standard of excellence.

What is a residency fee & is it refundable?
Independent Living Apartments & Assisted Living requires initial residency fees and are 75% refundable. The residency fee is a one-time payment that provides for the continuing use of your apartment and access to other levels of care as appropriate, as well as the other services on our campus. There are no deeds and you do not pay property taxes or closing costs. Our Skilled Nursing Care area does not require residency fees.
Is Westminster Towers locally owned & operated?
Yes, our non-profit organization is governed by a local Board of Directors from various professions & denominations.
What does my monthly fee cover & will it ever increase?
The Independent Living Monthly Maintenance Fees entitles residents to enjoy the following services, amenities, and benefits on our campus:
• All utilities (including cable in living & bedroom) Resident is responsible for telephone services
• Housekeeping & laundry services
• Meal Program Dining Room
• Transportation
• Life Enrichment Activities
• Wellness programming
• 24-hour staffing
• Full maintenance of the community’s facilities, appliances & buildings
• Maintenance of communities lawns trees, landscaped areas, courtyards, & parking areas
• 15 free complimentary days in our Health & Rehab Center per year
• Chaplain services
• Nursing & Dietician services
• Emergency Call System
• Use of Indoor Pool, Woodworking Shop, Fitness Room & Equipment
The monthly maintenance fees are reviewed by the Board of Directors during our annual budget process.
Must I be a Presbyterian to become a resident?
No, Westminster Towers welcomes all faiths. Currently there are residents representing many major church denominations.
Can I have overnight guests in my apartment?
Yes. We also have guest suites available for your guests.
Are most of youR residents from the Rock Hill area?
More & more resident are moving from out of town to be close to family that have relocated to our area.
Can I be admitted to the Health Center without being a permanent resident of The Towers?
We encourage residents to choose to make Westminster Towers their home while still able to live independently; however, you may be admitted to our Health Center or Assisted Living if there is availability. Westminster Towers residents enjoy priority admission & transfers to facilities on campus.
Regarding the Health Center- Are you Medicare Certified & what does “complimentary days" refer to?
Yes, we are Medicare certified! Residents of Westminster Towers Independent Living & Assisted Living enjoy the benefit of 15 days per year they may use in our Health Center (with appropriate physicians order).
Do I have to walk outside to get the Health Center?
No, our entire community is under one roof. You can get to any activity, building or function without going outside.
