DIRECTOR OF RESIDENT SERVICES

Arzu became the Director of Services here at Westminster Towers in August 2022. She is a key member of the Executive team, and she focuses on the services provided to the residents, campus-wide, including Life Enrichment, Wellness, Transportation, Beauty Salon, Social Services, and she provides administrative oversight to the dining services. She works closely with other departments to provide support on special projects and is working with the Towers HR department on a diversity and inclusion program for both staff and residents.

Arzu comes to us with a broad base of work and life experience. She is an award-winning strategic planner with over 15 years of leadership experience across recreational programs and community involvement. Arzu has a keen understanding of multicultural harmony and diversity. She is an accredited lecturer in philosophy and religious studies and is a certified transformative leader.

Arzu has a vision of the direction she would love to us take here at Westminster Towers and She works closely with the CEO on campus to ensure that resident care and customer service are at the highest level possible. Using her 25+ years of communication experience and techniques, she plans to bring a strong foundation to the departments under her care and instill trust with the staff and residents.

Prior to her senior living career, Arzu worked in communication through United Nations with many different TV and radio stations as a correspondent, reporter, anchorwoman, director, and producer concentrating on human rights, gender equality, environmental issues, and Turkey in general.

Arzu loves traveling, reading, photography, and meditation. Her goal is to see 65 different countries by the time she is 65 and she’s halfway there. Arzu is happily married and a mother of two teens and two cats. She is originally from Turkey and moved to Charlotte seven years ago after living in New York for 20 years and becoming a United States Citizen.
